  2. Library Commission

    The Library Commission assists and supports the City of Taylor Community Library and staff in meeting its mission to provide informational and educational resources to the pubic.

    The Local Development Finance Authority studies the job market and the impact of growth upon the authority district, plans and proposes the work done on a public facility, and develops plans to promote the growth of authority district.

  4. Local Officers Pension & Fringe Benefits Compen.

    The Local Officers Pension & Fringe Benefits Compensation Commission's purpose is to establish and recommend to the City Council any changes to the pensions and fringe benefits for the mayor, clerk, treasurer and member of the City Council.

  5. Museum Commission

    The Museum Commission desires to publicly display with dignity and respect, in the Taylor museum, the uniforms, weapons, photographs, honors, metals, equipment, personal effects, artifacts and memorabilia of those men and woman who have served in all branch of the U.S. military.

  7. Police & Fire Retirement Board

    The Police and Fire Retirement Board is to provide for the establishment, maintenance, and administration of a system of pensions and retirements for the benefit of the personnel of fire and police departments employed by the City of Taylor.

  8. Recreation Commission

    The Recreation Commission exists to promote an outstanding recreational program for the citizens of Taylor.

  9. TIFA/Brownfield

    TIFA/Brownfield plans and proposes the construction, renovation, repair, remodeling, rehabilitation, restoration, preservation or reconstruction of a public facility, an existing building, or a multiple family dwelling unit which may be necessary or appropriate to the execution of a plan which, in the opinion of the board, aids in the revitalization and growth of the development area.

  10. Water & Sewer Commission

    The Water and Sewer Commission shall operate in matters relating to the administration, management, supervision and control of the water and sewer division of the department of public works.

  11. Zoning Board Of Appeals

    The Zoning Board of Appeals shall hear and decide questions that arise in the administration of the zoning ordinance, including the interpretation of the zoning maps, and may adopt rules to govern its procedures sitting as a Zoning Board of Appeals.
