DAMAGED MAILBOXES? Follow these simple guidelines

Mailboxes can be damaged by snowplows during the winter months. Here are the easiest ways to get them fixed or replaced.
If your mailbox is damaged or destroyed by snow plows or salt trucks, take note of the following:
If you live on Van Born, Allen, Pelham, Pennsylvania, Inkster, Ecorse, Northline or Eureka, call Wayne County at (734) 955-9920. All of these are county-controlled roads.
If you live anywhere else in Taylor, please call the City at (734) 287-6550. If a damaged mailbox cannot be repaired, it will be replaced with a stock version.
This alert not only focuses on damaged mailboxes, but mailbox posts or poles, and missing mailboxes.
