Assessor revising notices for 43 acreage parcels scattered across City

Assessment

The City of Taylor’s Assessor’s Office is mailing revised notices to the owners of 43 acreage parcels scattered across the community, due to errors on their original assessments, according to Assessor Jessica Gracer.

Taylor assesses 28,000 parcels in the City; the 43 affected represented less than 0.25 percent.

The mistake was found two days after notices were mailed. Taxpayers with revised notices will have the opportunity to appeal the values at the local 2020 Board of Review, scheduled March 16-18.

Assessor Gracer emphasizes that her office staff, located on the first floor of City Hall, is always available to answer questions and/or concerns regarding this matter – or any other assessing issue. For further information, please call (734) 374-1316 during regular business hours, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
